Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) of 1976 was enacted to address the issues of management and disposal of municipal and industrial waste. In addition, Subtitle I of the act, added in 1984, contains legislation regarding the installation, operation, corrective action, and closure of underground storage tanks (USTs).
